{"id":684637,"date":"2024-11-06T04:51:30","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T04:51:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/sae-j-29482011\/"},"modified":"2024-11-06T04:51:30","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T04:51:30","slug":"sae-j-29482011","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/sae\/sae-j-29482011\/","title":{"rendered":"SAE J 2948:2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>This SAE Recommended Practice establishes guidelines for the operation of automotive keyless ignition systems with the goal of helping to minimize user instigated errors.<\/div>\n<div>For the purpose of this Recommended Practice, user instigated errors may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>the inability to start and stop the vehicle propulsion system,<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>exiting the vehicle with the automatic transmission in a non-parking gear,<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>exiting the vehicle while the vehicle propulsion system is enabled,<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>exiting the vehicle while the vehicle propulsion system is disabled, but the accessory or electrical systems are active.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>To help minimize these errors, this Recommended Practice contains design recommendations pertaining to uniform labeling, operating logic, indication of vehicle ignition\/control status, and physical control characteristics of keyless ignition systems.<\/div>\n<div>This Recommended Practice applies to keyless ignition controls permanently mounted in passenger cars, MPVs, and trucks 10 000 GVWR and under.
