This document may be applied to other lift-related equipment connected to the EUC.<\/p>\n<p>This document covers product and system requirements related to cybersecurity threats in following life cycle steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>product development (process and product requirements);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>manufacturing;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>installation;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>operation and maintenance;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>decommissioning.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This document addresses the roles of product supplier and system integrator as shown in <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;62443-4-1<\/span> Figure&nbsp;2<\/span> for the EUC.<\/p>\n<p>This document does not address the role of asset owner as shown in <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;62443-4-1<\/span> Figure&nbsp;2<\/span> , but defines requirements for the product supplier and system integrator of the EUC to establish documentation allowing the asset owner, referred to as EUC owner in this document, to achieve and maintain the security level.<\/p>\n<p>This document gives minimum cybersecurity requirements for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>essential functions;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>safety functions;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>alarm functions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This document covers EUCs capable of connectivity, either through equipment permanently available on site, or equipment temporarily brought to the location during the installation, operation and maintenance, or decommissioning steps.<\/p>\n<p>EUC interfaces to external systems and services are in the scope of this document. However, the external systems and services as such are out of the scope.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE\n <\/div>\n<p>External systems and services, which the EUC may rely upon, are assumed to comply with their own security standard, e.g. <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;62443-2-4<\/span> <\/span> or <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;27017<\/span> <\/span> for cloud platform.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This document is not applicable to EUC, which are installed before the date of its publication.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS ISO 8102-20.
