People with dementia and carers are an integral part of each stage of the process.<\/p>\n<p>It covers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>how to develop a dementia-friendly community by engaging community stakeholders;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><i>areas for action<\/i> within the community that are meaningful to people with dementia;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i>NOTE<\/i> <i>Areas for action include, but are not limited to:<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><i>arts, culture, leisure, and recreation;<\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><i>businesses and shops;<\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><i>children, young people and students;<\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><i>community, voluntary, faith groups and organizations;<\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><i>emergency services;<\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><i>health and social care;<\/i><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><i>housing;
