{"id":260905,"date":"2024-10-19T17:17:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T17:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-14399-32015\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T13:00:44","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T13:00:44","slug":"bs-en-14399-32015","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-14399-32015\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 14399-3:2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This European Standard specifies, together with <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;14399\u20111<\/span> <\/span> and <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;14399\u20112<\/span> <\/span>, the requirements for assemblies of high-strength structural bolts and nuts of system HR suitable for preloaded joints with large widths across flats, thread sizes M12 to M36 and property classes 8.8\/8 or 8.8\/10 and 10.9\/10.<\/p>\n<p>Bolting assemblies in accordance with this document have been designed to allow preloading of at least 0,7&nbsp; <i>f<\/i> <sub>ub<\/sub>\u00d7&nbsp; <i>A<\/i> <sub>s<\/sub> <span class=\"xref\"> <sup>1)<\/sup> <\/span> according to <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;1993\u20111\u20118<\/span> <\/span> (Eurocode 3) and to obtain ductility predominantly by plastic elongation of the bolt. For this purpose the components have the following characteristics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>normal nut height (style 1), see <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;ISO&nbsp;4032<\/span> <\/span>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>thread length of the bolt according to <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;888<\/span> <\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bolting assemblies in accordance with this document include washers according to <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;14399\u20116<\/span> <\/span> or to <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">EN&nbsp;14399\u20115<\/span> <\/span> (under the nut only).<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE\n <\/div>\n<p>Attention is drawn to the importance of ensuring that bolting assemblies are correctly used if satisfactory results are to be obtained.
