Description

1. This British Standard specifies the requirements for preformed corrosion-resisting steel wire rope for aircraft flying controls.

The standard is in two parts, the first covering the properties of the wire from which the rope is made, and the second covering the dimensions, construction and testing of the rope.

An appendix to this standard outlines the precautions which should be taken during the handling of the wire rope.
