RLP1 requires an underlying<br \/>\nhalf-rate, full-rate, double-rate, or triple-rate digital traffic<br \/>\nchannel as specified in TIA-136-131, 132, and 133 [7].<\/p>\n<p>To aid the reader, \u00a7\u00a7 2 and 3 contain descriptive information: \u00a7<br \/>\n2 provides an overview; \u00a7 3 describes the protocol&#039;s structure. \u00a7\u00a7<br \/>\n4 and 5 contain requirements: \u00a7 4 specifies RLP1 signals; \u00a7 5<br \/>\nspecifies processes. References appear in \u00a7 6. Finally, Annex A<br \/>\nillustrates protocol operation, and Annex B lists and defines<br \/>\nacronyms. Note that \u00a7 5 refers to figures too large to fit within<br \/>\nthe body of the standard.
