The results of much valuable work, both theoretical and<br \/>\npractical, are frequently not applied because they are buried in a<br \/>\nlarge number of technical reports and papers which designers have<br \/>\nnot the time to discover nor to read. In addition, much information<br \/>\nexists which has never been published. It has been the task of the<br \/>\nAerodynamics and Performance Committee to monitor the work of the<br \/>\nEngineering Sciences Data Unit in preparing data sheets and<br \/>\nmemoranda to assist designers in these two disciplines. Both<br \/>\nCommittees had become aware, over many years of their operation,<br \/>\nthat neither was adequately covering the field of dynamics,<br \/>\nalthough some data sheets in both Series dealt with certain<br \/>\naspects.
