It can be used by any type of organization, irrespective of sector or size, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>commercial organizations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>charitable and not-for-profit organizations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>governmental organizations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>non-governmental organizations; and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>educational organizations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It provides a structured approach to the development, implementation, evaluation and review of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>policy;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>programme development;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>threat and hazard identification;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>opportunities and strengths;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>risk assessment; and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>prevention and mitigation strategies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The guidance provided can be used to create a bespoke Travel Risk Management system and\/or incorporated into existing management systems, as decided upon by the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Tourism and leisure-related travel is not in scope of this standard except in respect of travellers travelling on behalf of the organization.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS ISO 31030.
