conveyance of water for human consumption, raw water prior to treatment, drainage and sewerage under pressure, vacuum sewer systems, and water for other purposes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n   NOTE&nbsp;1\n  <\/div>\n<p>The intended uses include sea outfalls, laid in water and connection between pipes suspended below bridges.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This document also specifies the test parameters for the test methods referred to in this document.<\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with the other parts of the <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;4427&nbsp;series<\/span><\/span>, this document is applicable to PE fittings, to joints with components of PE or other materials, intended to be used under the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li><label>a)<\/label>\n<p>a maximum allowable operating pressure (PFA) up to and including 25&nbsp;bar <span class=\"xref\"> <sup>1<\/sup> <\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fn\" id=\"fn_1\">\n<div class=\"fn-label\">\n     <sup>1<\/sup>\n    <\/div>\n<p>1&nbsp;bar&nbsp;=&nbsp;0,1&nbsp;MPa&nbsp;=&nbsp;10 <sup>5<\/sup> <sup>&nbsp;<\/sup>Pa; 1&nbsp;MPa&nbsp;=&nbsp;1&nbsp;N\/mm <sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>; <\/li>\n<li><label>b)<\/label>\n<p>an operating temperature of 20&nbsp; <i>\u00b0<\/i>C as the reference temperature.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n   NOTE&nbsp;2\n  <\/div>\n<p>For other operating temperatures, guidance is given in <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;4427-1:2019<\/span>, Annex&nbsp;A<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This document covers a range of maximum allowable operating pressures and gives requirements concerning colours.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n   NOTE&nbsp;3\n  <\/div>\n<p>It is the responsibility of the purchaser or specifier to make the
