{"id":270970,"date":"2024-10-19T18:09:45","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T18:09:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-iso-13577-22014\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T14:21:42","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T14:21:42","slug":"bs-iso-13577-22014","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-iso-13577-22014\/","title":{"rendered":"BS ISO 13577-2:2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;13577 specifies the safety requirements for combustion and fuel handling systems that are part of industrial furnaces and associated processing equipment (TPE).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE The general safety requirements common to TPE are provided in ISO&nbsp;13577-1 (See introduction).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;13577 deals with significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to combustion and fuel handling systems as listed in Annex&nbsp;A, when used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;13577 covers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>fuel pipework downstream of and including the manual isolating valve;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>combustion air supply (including oxygen and oxygen enriched combustion air) and flue gas system;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>burner(s), burner system and ignition device;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>functional requirements for safety related control system.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;13577 applies to any oxidation with air or other gases containing free oxygen of gaseous and liquid fuels or any combustion of them to release thermal energy in TPE.<\/p>\n<p>For thermal or catalytic post combustion and waste incineration, this part of ISO&nbsp;13577 applies only to auxiliary burners designed to start-up and\/or support the process.<\/p>\n<p>The pressure hazard of the piping and components covered by this part of ISO&nbsp;13577 is within the maximum pressure\/size relationship of category&nbsp;I as described in normative Annex&nbsp;E.<\/p>\n<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;13577 also gives the necessary requirements regarding information for use.<\/p>\n<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;13577 does not cover hazards from heating generated by electricity.<\/p>\n<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;13577 does not deal with the hazards created by the release of flammable substances from the products processed in the TPE.<\/p>\n<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;13577 is not applicable to combustion and fuel handling systems:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>of welding machines;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>up-stream of the TPE manual isolating valve.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This part of ISO&nbsp;13577 is not applicable to electrical cabling and power cabling upstream of the TPE control panel\/protective system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Industrial furnaces and associated processing equipment.
