This Standard specifies the test methods of gas concentration and gas leakage for insulating glass.

The two methods designated as Approach 1, which is intended for use in markets such as North America, and Approach 2, which is intended for use in markets such as Europe.

NOTE The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 20492-3: 2010 Glass in buildings—Insulating glass—Part 3: Gas concentration and gas leakage (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
