La présente partie de l'ISO 7965 prescrit une méthode d'essai de résistance au choc vertical de sacs pleins faits d'un film thermoplastique flexible lâchés en chute libre. Un tel essai peut être effectué en tant qu'essai isolé destiné à étudier les effets du choc vertical, ou bien en tant que partie d'une série d'essais destinés à mesurer la capacité d'un sac à résister aux conditions d'un système de distribution comprenant un risque de choc vertical. La présente partie de l'ISO 7965 prescrit le mode opératoire et la façon dont il convient de présenter les résultats des essais. Elle est basée sur l'ISO 22481), mais a spécifiquement trait aux sacs faits d'un film thermoplastique flexible.
