ESDU PERF RP 1/0 gives the basis for a method developed for large piston engines with geared superchargers for the correction of flight-measured results to conditions of temperature and weight different from those applying at the time of test. It is standard in that the mean values of some constants, calculated from an analysis of data for such engines with constant-speed propellers, are assumed to apply. For other engines the method of ESDU PERF RP 2/0 should be used. Correction for temperature is usually made at constant pressure height and involves correction to speed and boost pressure. Alternatively, it may be made at a constant value of delivered power multiplied by root relative density in which case a correction is made to the observed pressure height. In all cases corrections differ depending on whether the point considered is below or above full throttle height.
