ESDU 92009 tabulates density and molar volumes for 39 haloethanes and 4 azeotropic mixtures. The tables are in units of kg/cu m and cu cm/mol respectively from near the melting point to within a few degrees of the critical point. The temperature interval chosen is varied from 10 K to 1 K to keep the increments in density reasonably small. Although the Rackett equation does not represent the variation of density over the full temperature range so well as the equation used in ESDU 92009 (log reduced density as a polynomial function of reduced temperature), it was used to estimate the critical density. The log/polynomial equation was then fitted to the experimental data for density for each compound taken from a wide range of sources in the literature; values established for the coefficients in the equation for each compound are also tabulated. Estimates of the accuracy of the predictions are included, as is a list of the sources of data actually used for each compound. Values at the critical point are provided together with normal boiling and melting points.
