Diese Richtlinie befasst sich mit der Planung, dem Bau und dem Betrieb von flüssigkeitsgekühlten Raumkühlflächen (in Decken, Wänden und Böden) oder von Systemen mit Kühlung von Massivbauteilen. Sie soll angesichts unterschiedlicher Vorgehens- und Berechnungsweisen mehr Sicherheit bei der Auslegung von Systemen bieten, einen fairen Wettbewerb begünstigen und für alle Beteiligten mehr Transparenz bei der Abwicklung der Aufträge schaffen. Im Rahmen der Überarbeitung der Ausgabe aus dem Jahr 2011 wurden Bezüge zu neuen technischen Regeln hergestellt sowie redaktionelle Anpassungen am Text vorgenommen.
