It covers the subjects of accidental scenarios and risk assessment, protection concepts, dimensioning of pressure relief devices, types of pressure relief devices, substance release, operation of helium cryostats and materials for pressure relief devices. In order to fulfil the aim of this Standard, the characteristics of pressure relief devices are taken into account.
