Specifies recommended methods of construction, glazing, installation, protection and maintenance for windows, sliding doors, adjustable glass louvres, shopfronts, and window walls with framing elements of one piece, but not curtain walls using stacked or spliced framing systems, manufactured from any materials and installed vertically in external walls of all classes of buildings.
Scope
This Standard provides recommended methods of construction, glazing, installation, protection and maintenance for windows, sliding glazed doors, adjustable glass louvres, shopfronts and window walls with one-piece framing elements, but not curtain walls using stacked or spliced framing systems, manufactured from any material and installed vertically in external walls of all classes of buildings.
NOTES:
1 Prefabricated bay windows which incorporate sloped glass are classified as windows in vertical walls.
2 Hinged doors are not covered by this Standard.
