ESDU 88007 gives graphs of rate of increase in crack length per loading cycle plotted against stress intensity factor range for 10 alloys, many with various heat treatments. The data were extracted from the literature and relate to various environments including dry or humid air, water, salt water or salt water spray. The specimens tested were from sheet, clad sheet, or plate and range from 0.04 to 4.49 in (1 to 114 mm) thick. Full details of the environments and tests are tabulated together with details of the specimens such as tensile strength, proof stress and composition. Included with the curves is a table giving the constants for the Paris equations that describe them. Discussion of the results considers the influence of environment, heat treatment, and stress ratio on the crack growth rate.
